INSIDE MY HOME

Ever since I found out that I would be getting my own home, I was obsessed with all the gorgeous things I could fill it with. My style has always been all white errythaaaang so I'm sure my home definitely reflects that haha!

Here is how I decorate my home and where I got everything from, what I'm loving and hating and just lots of interior bits.

Enjoy...

All White

I've always disliked Magnolia. Every house usually comes painted that way but I decorated both of mine with white walls and white doors - can you tell that I like white yet? I'm a very monochrome person so I think my interior taste definitely matches my fashion sense. But with white, it can easily be too much!

A pop of colour whether it's a bright red or a more subtle grey/pastel colour is something you probably need just to separate things.  My living room is white and although I would have loved a white sofa, I found the perfect grey one so although my walls, carpet, ceiling AND furniture are white (oops!) I have some grey tones in there too and a few shabby wooden barn stars. Also I've accessorised the sofa in lots of scatter cushions from white to brown to beige in all sorts of patterns.

White is great, but white is sensitive!

If I had known how much work you put into white interiors I think I would have probably made a few different choices! All the furniture collects so much dust that I have to dust at least twice everyday, and that's a lot of maintenance for a disabled girl!

When my dad (a carpet fitter) suggested that I avoided the white carpet because of how dirty it gets quickly and I was adamant that I wouldn't let that happen. Wellllll I took the bloody carpet - of course! - and he loved the "I told you so" moment afterwards.

WOW IT GETS SO FILTHY!

Genuinely I thought I'd be fine because I only have my friend's kids around sometimes and thats it but it was pretty much more of a beige after a month! So learn from my mistakes please haha!

Bottom line: LOVE white. But choose wisely! White walls and furniture - fine. White carpet? If you can - AVOID.

Making the most out of Halloween

Halloween gets even better when you're older in my opinion. Yeah ok it doesn't really involve getting candy from strangers but it's an excuse to dress up a little crazy and get drunk with all your friends!

Fancy dress + crazy friends + cocktails = a good night!

But another thing I love about it are the decorations - especially the skulls! I am obsessed with them and the more unique they are, the better. I am in no way an emo or goth or whatever but I think skulls in your house don't give off that vibe, they're just a really cool accessory.

This one is from Tesco last year and it sits in pride of place on my coffee table alongside some vintage books and candles. I love it!

TIP: I got it from the sale the day after Halloween, half price! So hang on a day or so for an absolute bargain!

IKEA

Ikea is my FAVOURITE shop hands down. My boyfriend, of course, hates it. I'm sure most men do to be honest ha! But I am obsessed.

My closest one is a good 120 miles away so when I go, I go ALL OUT! Most of the time I actually promise him that I know what I need from the warehouse so we don't have to dawdle around the showroom... But once I'm there I just can't help it!

The inspiration there is crazy. I pretty much love everything and I'm so excited to kit out my kitchen properly when we own our own house and not renting. As much as I love being here and we are very blessed, I just can't wait to not have a black and pine kitchen because I just hate colour to be honest haha! I'm a monochrome kinda person definitely.

I struggle to find good interior websites but I am a massive fan of Oliver Bonas and Coconut Lane! Here are their websites if you want to have a browse:
